Eco-makeover for Goosehill Hall

Energy Jump was invited to design and install a Ground Source Heat Pump and low-energy heating system in a large Grade II Listed domestic property in Castleton. This project has been featured in The Times property section. 

Following a full room-by room heat loss analysis, a 30kW NIBE heat pump was specified to provide 100% of heating and hot water coverage for the property.  Five x 110m boreholes were drilled to provide heat to the GSHP.

Underfloor heating was specified for much of the ground floor, with Jaga low-temperature radiators in the remaining rooms.  Energy Jump supplied and installed the full heating and hot water system.

The GSHP system is fully eligible for tax-free payments from the Domestic Heat Incentive for 7 years. 

A 10kW solar PV system was installed to a flat swimming pool roof in the grounds, to provide electricity to the property. Before installation a Firestone rubber roof was installed to ensure watertightness. Energy Jump also installed a rainwater-harvesting system for the property, to make the most of whatever the weather throws at it!

We have also installed a second GSHP to heat three holiday cottages on the site, and the next stage is to install a third heat pump to provide hot water and heating for the swimming pool.
